High Cholesterol Treatment

Cholesterol is needed in your blood to build healthy cells, but too much of it can be dangerous.  An excessive amount, or “high cholesterol,” can cause fatty deposits to develop in your arteries.  These deposits can cause a blockage, which can result in a life-threatening event such as a heart attack or stroke.

Often, people do not experience any symptoms indicating there is a problem when they have high cholesterol.  This is one of the most concerning elements of this condition because as cholesterol in your blood continues to build up along the walls of your arteries, the likelihood of experiencing a heart attack, stroke, or inadequate blood flow to other vital organs increases.
