High Blood Pressure Treatment

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is often inherited.  It can also develop due to hardening or narrowing of arteries, aging, excess blood volume or secondary to other conditions such as kidney disease.

There may be no symptoms with hypertension or sometimes it may cause headaches, vision changes, chest pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath.

Severe hypertension may also result in a stroke.
